This month's blog is going to be short and sweet. I do not plan to rant on and on over do's and don't over the holiday season. What I have noticed is a lot of people stress out over their fitness/nutrition during the holidays and I'd like to remind you of a few things. If I can give you any piece of advice it would be this:
Enjoy the holidays, enjoy the food and get back into your routine once the gatherings
and food are gone.
I truly believe in "everything in moderation", except for chocolate covered almonds...you just eat that shit to your heart and soul's desire.....as I sit here, typing this blog while eating a small bowl of chocolate covered almonds.
I complete understand that "everything in moderation is over-used and you might be rolling your eyes at me saying that. However, it is still the best way to put it. What I mean when I say this, is that I want you to know that you do not need to feel guilt over eating that second, third, or even fourth dessert, we've all been there. You also do not need to hit the gym after to "work off" what you ate. Exercise should NEVER be a punishment for the food you eat. Even when it's more than you think it should have been.
I ask you one thing this year over the holidays. Be aware of what you are eating, do your best, and enjoy every. damn. bite. of what you consume. Enjoy your family and friends and whoever else you are spending it with and find your routine once it's all said and done.
Having someone to help get back into a routine can be useful! If that is something you think would help you, please never hesitate to reach out to me! I am always available for questions, inquiries, whatever you need - contact information is at the end of the blog.
